Google Phone app call screen quality feedback notification irritates some

If you are someone who already owns a Pixel device, you should be familiar with the Google Phone app. The dialer app which has a user-friendly interface and is packed with several nifty features.

Compatible with Android 7.0 and higher, it is downloadable on a large number of devices. But as is the case with most apps, the Google Phone app is prone to bugs and glitches.

Recently, Google said they disabled the Hold for Me and Call Screen feature due to a bug with the December update.

And now reports (1,2,3) from Google Phone app users suggest that many of them are annoyed by a quality feedback notification that pops up every time they use the screensaver feature. ‘call.

Many say they provided the feedback the first time it appeared, but the notification seems to ask them after each call ends, which is frustrating at best.

After every call, I’m asked “Help us improve – Send feedback to Google on your call filter call”. I may sometimes ask us for feedback, but since I got my Pixel 6 Pro, I get this prompt after every call. Additionally, even with all call filtering options set to their strictest settings, 85% of calls are still SPAM. Fi support told me there was no way to stop receiving these surveys and suggested that after I submitted a few they might just go away. They did not do it. I know it’s only a slight inconvenience. Are other people experiencing this too?

How do I stop call screening from asking me for quality feedback via notification EVERY TIME? ? I just want Google to stop asking me about the quality of calls filtered through the notification every time. Kind of defeats the purpose of not being bothered by spam calls only to get a notification every time. I’ve given feedback once in hopes it will stop future requests, and I’ve gone through every menu I can think of for an offset setting. I reboot at least 1x a day and tried clearing the cache to no avail. Please help me or I will have to go back to a third party option like the one I was using on my previous phone.

Some say this defeats the purpose of the call screen feature, as they then have to deal with Google’s notification.

Others said they might turn to a third-party solution until developers figure out a way to turn off the Google Phone app quality feedback notification.

And while Google hasn’t commented on the issue yet, some users have shared a bunch of workarounds that might help disable the Google Phone app quality feedback notification.

The first requires users to download a paid app called Buzzkill and set up a rule to automatically remove the notification from history and the notification shade.

The second workaround suggests disabling the Direct My Call feature.

We hope that Google offers Phone app users a way to disable this quality feedback notification in a future version of the app.
