In August last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G. It came with internal and external screens. At the same time, it was the company’s first smartphone to use an under-display camera. The rest of its selling points include S Pen stylus support and IP8X-level waterproofing. Thus, this handset was unparalleled in terms of the innovative technologies used.
Other than that, its hinge adopts a subversive invisible design. It can therefore withstand 200,000 openings and closings. The phone also supports an adaptive split-screen mode which is fixed at multiple angles. Generally, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been awarded as one of the most powerful and best phones in the world.

Well, it is a stunning smartphone. But this is a one year old model. So Samsung fans (and not only them) want a new model. For its part, Samsung does not linger. The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to launch in August this year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 coming with tons of improvements
Samsung Electronics plans to reduce the number of parts for smartphone hinges. Currently, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 uses two separate parts. However, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 only uses one. With this change, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be lighter and thinner than its predecessor. Additionally, production costs are also expected to be lower due to fewer parts.
Samsung is betting big on a new generation of foldable smartphones as it plans to produce 2.9 million Galaxy Z Fold 4 units this year, compared to just 1 million Galaxy Z Fold 3 units.
According to a new report from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 may inherit the camera from the Galaxy S22. For those unaware, the telephoto lens comes with a new 1/3.94-inch sensor with 10 megapixels and a 69mm focal length. This lens offers 3x optical zoom, a little more than what the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has – 2x zoom. If so, it will greatly improve the quality of long-range shooting.
At the same time, the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s under-screen camera is only 4 megapixels. It therefore does not retain many details in the photos. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to use a 10-megapixel front camera.
Finally, when it comes to price, currently the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is up for grabs at $1049.99. But we have no hope that the next model can keep this price. It should cost $100-200 more.
